The Thunder of God’s Glory

For the past three weeks we’ve been looking at Psalms that celebrate the glory of God as He reveals Himself in Nature, in His Creation.  All creation sings, or testifies non-verbally to God’s greatness, and we humans do so as well, both non-verbally (by our actions) and verbally in words, songs, and praises.  Our Psalm today shows the glory of God as it is evident in a powerful thunderstorm.  The thunderstorm is bracketed, first by a call to worship, and then closed by a declaration of assurance, in a setting and context of worship.
