One Thing We Lack

Speaker:
Series:
Passage: Luke 18:15-30
Service Type:
Ro Taylor - Director of Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) at Delta State University - was our guest speaker today, and gave us deeper insight into Luke's Gospel, Chapter 18: 15-30.

Those familiar with these verses will recall how Jesus welcomes little children and draws them close to Him, explaining that God wants us to trust Him with a childlike faith. But instead of stopping there, Ro went on into the next few verses and showed how the following conversation Jesus had with a Rich Young Ruler illustrates what that childlike faith looks like in the heart of a believer.

Ro makes the following points:
- Jesus exposes our hearts and their idols
- Jesus invites us to follow Him no matter the condition of our hearts
- Jesus promises even more - no matter what we he asks us to leave behind in order to follow Him.

Have you let go of your own desires to follow Christ?

"As followers in Christ, our eternal life has already begun." - Ro Taylor

We welcome you to watch the video of the service above, however due to technical difficulties, the sound cuts out at approximately 46:13.
