Job: Epilogue

Epilogue? Wait, did we miss the ending of the Job story? Not really, but the end of the Job story didn’t really end in his time but hundreds of years later at Calvary, when Jesus took our sins to the cross and dealt Satan his death-wound. But what happened with Job at the end of his fight with Satan is a happy tale in itself and encouraging for us as well. Job’s faith was gloriously vindicated by the Lord, he was able to help his friends get right with God, and all he had lost was restored doubly to him. He was at peace with God, had a part in being a peace-maker, and he experienced the peace of God in life and community.
