He Must Increase; I Must Decrease

Sermon Notes: We are not the hero of our own story. Jesus is.

We can humble ourselves by:

1) Decreasing ourselves in our lives. Are we content with being in the background, exalting Christ and others over ourselves?

A) The first step is to realize we are proud and admit it.

B) The second step is to repent and turn from our pride.

2) Increasing Jesus in our lives. All things must be about Him. We can't have too much of Him. We can never make too much of Christ. Where in our lives are we making too little of Christ? Our schedules, our time, our thoughts, our goals, our plans, our desires?

We need to exalt Christ - the true hero of the story.
