Behind the Pain, the Shadow of a Cross

How can a good God permit His people to suffer pain?  Can pain keep us from trusting God? Can pain destroy our faith?  If we were stretched on a rack of torture and ordered to deny the Lord, how would we respond?  Is God’s love stronger than pain?  (Last week: Trials reveal true love and faith.) Today we will see how pain reveals the quality of true faith.
