Amos The Fiery Farmer

We continue today with the Minor Prophets, surveying some of the shorter and less familiar of them under the series title, Major News from the Minors. Most of Amos’ messages point to the judgments of God that are meant to lead people to repentance.  The Gospel is a message of both judgment and salvation, of justice and righteousness most famously expressed in Amos 5:24, “But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.” I want first to introduce you to Amos, look at some examples of “rolling justice” and then the promises of the “ever-flowing stream of God’s righteousness.”
