God, Be Merciful to Me, a Sinner

Passage: Luke 18:9-11
Service Type:

In the world there’s a lot of pressure to prove ourselves. There can be pulls to prove that we are the greatest in our jobs, in our roles as parents or as spouses. We feel this pressure to prove that we are greater and a lot better than we really are to those around us and even to God. Have you ever wondered if there’s another way? In our passage this week, we will learn there is another way to live! In our passage, Jesus shares a parable about two men who go to pray and there’s a remarkable point for us to learn from it: The Gospel is not for who you are trying to prove yourself to be, but who you really are!
