Anointing vs. Antichrists

Last week we were warned about the temptations of the world that challenge our faithful security in the circle of God’s love. This week we will see how Satan is trying to undermine your faith and love in Jesus. Pastor John writes to believers to encourage us to stand strong against the deceitful lies of the Evil One, calling us to commit to a constant and abiding love.  John uses stark contrasts to make the truth clear to us:  We walk in the light or in the darkness, we claim sinlessness or readily confess and receive Jesus’ forgiveness, we love God or we love the world.   We’ve been warned of the dangers of our sinful pride and the allure of the world.  Today we will see how we can discern and reject the lies of the devil.
